Henrique Nascimento is currently a Post-Doctoral fellow based on the Biological Dynamics of Forest Fragments Project (BDFFP) in Manaus, Brazil. He completed his master in 1998 at University of São Paulo (USP) and his PhD at National Institute for Amazonia Research (INPA) in 2002. From 2002 to 2003 he was a Mellon Post-Doctoral fellow at Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama. In the last 13 years he has been working on the effects of forest fragmentation on structure and dynamics of Amazonian tree communities, biomass, and carbon cycle.
