Alexandra Marques is based in London, where she is currently in the 3rd year of a Biodiversity & Conservation B.Sc. Her passion for wildlife and the environment has led her to pursue a career in wildlife conservation, where she hopes to make a difference. For the last 4 years, she has joined conservation projects working with sea turtles in remote locations such as Costa Rica and Thailand. In 2009, she completed a 6 months internship for coral reefs and tropical rainforests conservation charity, helping to promote the conservation of both the rainforests and the “rainforests of the seas”. She recently completed her Advanced Open Water diver qualification in Indonesia, which will hopefully help her with future conservation work with sea turtles and coral reefs. In London, Alex has had extensive volunteer experience working for reputable organizations such as the Zoological Society of London.
